In the spring of 2011, Landmarks Community Capital Corporation, a nonprofit subsidiary of PHLF, is provided a $632,624 loan to a subsidiary of the Manchester Citizens Corporation to restore seven historic buildings turning them into nine residential units located in the City-Designated and National Register-listed Manchester Historic District.
The funds came to PHLF through a loan from PNC Bank and the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh also provided funding for the project.
In addition, LCC also provided a $349,000 loan to MCC for the acquisition of a historic row of townhouses located at 1404-1414 Juniata Street to help launch the second phase of housing development in Manchester.
The properties are under construction and most are under agreement to be purchased. For more information, please visit the MCC Web site. (Take a look at the work in the photo gallery below.)
